3 Reasons Why Skipping Meals Will Throw You Off Track

There are millions of people looking to lose weight on any given day.

Most do it smart…

They cut back on calories…they exercise…

Simply, they do the right things to encourage their bodies to erase the fat, giving them a smoking looking body.

However, there is one thing that a lot of people do that probably isn’t helping their fat loss.

And that is: Skipping meals!

Are you making the right choice by skipping breakfast, lunch, or dinner?

Probably not.  In fact, you’re doing more damage than you probably realize…

Skipping Meals and Fat Loss

If you’re looking to lose the fat, then you have probably been told that you need to cut back on your calories.

And this is important – cutting back on your calories means you’re fueling your body with the right nutrients, while maintaining the appropriate caloric intake to help you shed the pounds.

However, one thing you should NEVER do is to skip a meal or two.

Why?

Well, skipping meals encourages a bunch of different things to occur in your body.

And some of the things that happen could cause your body to hold onto fat – instead of torching it – therefore putting your fat loss on hold.

Here are three things that happen when you skip a meal:

1. Take a Ride on The Blood Sugar Rollercoaster

Skipping a meal causes your body to go into a state of shock.  Your cortisol levels increase and your other hormones start to decrease.

This could make you anxious, stressed, or a number of other things.

Plus, your insulin levels skyrocket – then plummet just as fast – leading to crazy swings in your blood sugar.

This could zap your energy, intensify your cravings, or make you very, very moody.

2. Store A Heck of a Lot More Fat

When your body perceives it is starving – like when you skip meals, or all day eating – your body conserves as much fat as it can in order to help you “last through the famine.”

This could lead to increased body fat stores and less lean muscle mass (used for energy).

Skipping meals may lead to increases in body weight, hip and waist circumference, and overall increases in body fat percentage and BMI measurements.

3. You Eat…and Eat…and Eat

Due to the flux in your blood sugar, you may end up having some pretty intense cravings…

Plus, you may overeat at your next feeding – and it doesn’t matter if it’s a snack or a full meal.

Skipping meals could lead to that hungry feeling and the feeling that you’re never truly full.

And this causes you to eat, and eat, and eat.

This is deadly, not only for your health, but for your fat loss as well.

Take Home Message

If you’re truly serious about your fat loss, then you need to do one thing…

That is to eat all your planned meals and AVOID skipping any.

This could lead to boosts in your metabolism, energy, and of course, your fat loss.

You should be eating THREE meals per day and include TWO to THREE snacks per day.  This could go a long way to obtaining the body of your dreams.

For a faster metabolism, be sure you’re NOT skipping meals!
